The Black Sheep Difference

We are a UK based custom bike and bike related art group comprising of artists from differing disciplines: mechanics, engineers, welders etc. They all have a shared passion for the motorcycle. Black Sheep Bikes has been set up to become a not-for-profit organisation, designed to start community art projects using people from various discliplines.
Not for Profit?
Hopefully the venture will be funded by building custom motorcycles and creating motorcycle art. That way we keep the artists working on creative projects, and give something back. All of our art will be made available to the public, as was Midlands artist Nick Clark’s Silver Surfer installation.
What have we done before?
Nick Clark has been working on community art projects for many years, and is most famous for the Silver Surfer installation in Dudley. Seen by thousands of people each day, the scultpure was not displayed in an art gallery, but on a busy junction. Art for the people, guerilla art, if you will.
All of our artists have proven themselves in their field, whether it’s with a welding torch, computer or spanner.
Custom Motorcycles for the True Black Sheep
More Mad Max than Easy Rider! You want a grungy streetfighter, that is a recycled reinterpretation of a post apocalyptic concept? you got it! If you’re the sort of dispossesed outsider who prefers steampunk custom bikes to polished chrome and candy red paint you should call us. We understand, we’re there buddy!
We won’t just set fire to your tank and call it art (well we might) but we’ll wok with you to create the most awesome looking biike, whether it’s the sort of chopper the devil would ride, or a slightly more subtle streetfighter with serious attitude we’ll get a bike that fits you. Each piece will use recycled (but mechanically sound) parts, and will be crafted to your specification and design. The result is a custom motorbike that is totally individual and unique to you.
